Up to 10 sessions of one-to-one counselling, based at our central Reading location.
We offer counselling for those affected by infertility, miscarriage, termination, stillbirth or neonatal death, providing a confidential and safe space to process some of your feelings in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Our team of volunteer counsellors are all qualified, or currently studying for their qualifications and on supervised placements with us. They all abide by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy’s (BACP) Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Reading Lifeline is an organisational member of the BACP (No. 201285).
Baby loss can be devastating and at times the feelings associated with grief can feel overwhelming. Our counsellors offer a safe, non-judgemental place where your individual struggles and experiences are respected and valued.
We recognise the loss and heartbreak associated around infertility and loss. This can take its toll, not just on your physical body but on your emotions and relationships. We offer counselling for individuals and couples who need support in this area.

Please note that all our team work part-time, and queries will be answered as quickly as possible.
For all new enquiries we will ask for a few basic details. Following this you will be offered an initial assessment appointment, giving you the opportunity to find out more about how counselling here might help. Then we will get in touch when a space for counselling becomes available.
Reading Lifeline is a charity, reliant on donations in order to keep running. We really value counselling and want it to be accessible to as many people as possible, so we do not charge.
However, you will be asked to make a voluntary contribution per session, of whatever you are able to afford. Whatever your donation, the quality of care and support you receive at Reading Lifeline will be the same. Please discuss this with us if you have any queries or concerns.
Healthcare professionals referring a client to Reading Lifeline should get in touch with Jo White, our Counselling Support Administrator, to request a copy of our Referral Form.
