“I only wish more women had access to services such as yours…”
Ella (name changed) experienced a miscarriage over a year ago and was referred to Reading Lifeline by her GP after she went and spoke to her about how she was feeling. Ella was seen regularly by one of our volunteer counsellors for specialist miscarriage counselling.
“I am in a much better place now with regards to my mental well-being and relationships with family. I feel my resilience to handle grief and stress – which were ruling my life when I first came to counselling – are now much more robust, and there is joy and appreciation of what I have which are no longer overshadowed by sadness.”
“I am really grateful for their help in exploring not only the big issues of grief, anger and guilt, but also some of the more peripheral issues that were affecting my experiences, such as family relationships.”
“A thousand times “thank you”. You have helped me with more than my miscarriage as I will be able to take the things I learned about myself into all aspects of my life. I only wish more women had access to services such as yours.”
