Becky has volunteered as a counsellor here for over three years, and in October 2017 took on the role of Clinical Lead. She has an MA in Counselling and is a Registered Member of the BACP. Her hope is that Reading Lifeline can offer a place to land amidst questions, pain and fears, that at times can seem overwhelming.
It is a privilege seeing how clients are able to use their time with their counsellor to grieve, to question, to understand, to mourn, to feel and to reconnect in new ways. Often clients find in themselves room to breathe, to shape a new normal and begin to remember good times again.
It gives her great personal and professional satisfaction to be part of those precious journeys.
Katherine is interim managing Reading Lifeline until we are able to recruit a new project manager. She has worked in the Reading voluntary sector since 2003 and is currently the CEO of the Mustard Tree. She is passionate about increasing well-being in our local communities and believes strong partnerships are key to achieving this. She is actively involved in her local church and enjoys connecting with people, including chatting to people at bus stops!

Rebecca joined the Reading Lifeline team in Spring 2015. Since 2003 she has worked with various community projects in the charity sector, including counselling, support for vulnerable women, and an education centre for excluded teenagers.
She coordinates the counselling appointments, events such as the Service of Remembrance, and the general administration of the project. If you get in touch with Reading Lifeline about counselling, you will most likely hear her friendly voice on the phone!
